THE SINTILLATE MARBELLA TEAM

On Thursday 30th April relaunched and following on from our last incredibly successful six seasons, we held four weekly pre-season parties before our 'official' launch parties from the 21st to 24th May.

THURSDAYS / SATURDAYS - TIBU

On Thursday and Saturday nights we return to host our parties again at TIBU (next to the main square in Puerto Banus). SINTILLATE launched TIBU BANUS two years ago and instantly made it a huge success which is now a must for any visit to Puerto Banus. It combines a large open-air terrace with an equally large inside club area, an unusual find in the port, meaning that you can enjoy the more relaxed terrace early on before upping the tempo in the club later on in the night. SINTILLATE have managed to negotiate on your behalf reduced drinks and bottle prices in recognition of the current economic climate. Bottle prices at all SINTILLATE venues have been reduced by 20-30%. (eg.Average price for bottle vodka is 140e-150e). TIBU also has a great restaurant and guests will be able to enjoy a range of set menus at reduced rates earlier on in the evening. Last years parties were amazing at the venue and we reached capacity very early on in the night so please do arrive early to ensure entry! The tables are all waitress service with minimum spends applying. If you reserve a table for drinks, entry will be 10 Euros each, with entry on the SINTILLATE list at 20 Euros each. Table reservations are held until 11pm and will have a 500 euros minimum spend for tables outside and 400 euros inside (tables seat a max of 8 guests each). Please let us know if you wish to reserve one as soon as possible as demand is always high!

FRIDAYS - THE SKYLOUNGE

On Fridays (apart from our Champagne Party weekends at the end of the month) we return to With its stunning location complete with panoramic views of one of the Worlds most famous private marina, SKYLOUNGE offers a top night out. SINTILLATE hosted some legendary parties at the venue before moving to TIBU a couple of years ago to be able to accomodate all of our guests but are now pleased to be back hosting the ports most glamorous party!

FRIDAYS - NIKKI BEACH

Over the past 3 years have hosted parties at NIKKI BEACH and this year we're back hosting the last Friday night of the month with our 'NIKKI BEACH Experience'. NIKKI BEACH offer some of the most exclusive beach clubs in the world (St. Tropez, Miami, St Barths, Sardinia...) and this provides a wonderful synergy with the philosophy. We keep the party running until 3am and the venue has a fantastic sound system that we make FULL use of! Combined with the excellent service and quantity of tables and bars, this is the biggest party we host and has raised Marbella to the 'next level' on the international party scene.

All guests will need to bring photo ID (passport/driving licence) with them this year to NIKKI BEACH to gain entry.

Again we can book a restaurant table (before 9pm) and you will gain free entrance to party. If you reserve a table for drinks, entry will be 10 euros each, with entry on the list 20 Euros each. Guests should arrive before 11pm to guarantee their table reservation. Please let us know if you wish to eat in the restaurant and at what time, of if you wish to reserve a table for drinks.

FRIDAYS - DREAMERS

After our Friday night party we then continue with an after-party at DREAMERS until 6am! Just on the outskirts of the port, DREAMERS caters for the serious clubber with a phenomenal sound system, a plush interior and two floors. We occupy both for the night with the upstairs Lola Lounge being for SINTILLATE guests only!

SATURDAYS - OCEAN CLUB

SINTILLATE took up residency at OCEAN CLUB 5 years ago and the venue has since seen many improvements, exceeding expectations with its brand new look and innovations in 2008. On its 9000m2 you can find the 2nd largest swimming pool of its kind in Europe, a design bar, a restaurant catering for 300 people, over-sized white leather beds, a massage zone and parking. SINTILLATEs parties there are one of the main reasons people visit the port and should not be missed! There is no other party that we know of quite like it!

Then of course come the legendary SINTILLATE CHAMPAGNE SPRAYING SUNDAY PARTIES at the end of every month. Last year, Ocean Club was the biggest outlet in the World for Veuve Cliquot largely due to our Sunday parties where over 1500 bottles get sprayed throughout the afternoon. These take place this year on May 3rd, May 24th, June 28th, July 26th and August 30th. Bed prices are as follows...

Puerto Banus is the most fashionable resort in Southern Spain. It is a busy Marina, not only for some of the most impressive yachts in the world, but also as one of the most popular locations for dining and nightlife in the Mediterranean.

All tastes are catered for, there is something for everyone - cafes, restaurants and boutiques are clustered around the harbour. Puerto Banus is the ideal place to relax and admire the yachts whilst having a drink on the waterfront. This is definitely a place "to see and be seen"! The choice of international restaurants is amazing, with most of them situated right on the marina with spectacular views.

There are two main beaches surrounding the harbour: Benabola beach and Levante beach. But beyond these two, many sub-tropical beaches follow one after another along 20 mile coast line of Marbella.

The nightlife in Puerto Banus is incredible, with a huge choice of alfresco bars, casinos, piano clubs and discos. Puerto Banus and Marbella boast some of the finest stores in the world for clothes, furnishings and all the accessories of luxury living. If shopping is your passion designer names then Puerto Banus has more designer shops in one square mile than any other location in the World with names such as Gucci, Chanel, Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Prada, Hermes and Versace are here in abundance. For another view of the marina, boat trips are available on a regular basis. Also available for hire is a range of sporty water transport.

There is also a large commercial shopping centre with a department store El Corte Ingles, situated at the entrance to Puerto Banus. Puerto Banus also has the highest concentration of designer shops per square mile in the World.

There are several Golf Clubs in Puerto Banus, including La Quinta ( 27 holes), Los Naranjos (18), Las Brisas (18) and Aloha (18). Tennis courts are also available at Hotel PYR.

Puerto Banus has a multi cinema complex with original soundtracks. This is the only one in the Costa del Sol! In addition, there is horse riding, hang-gliding, hot air ballooning in the hills and a wealth of other leisure activities. There is a market on Saturdays at the Bullring for more reasonably priced clothes and holiday bargains.

All manner of accommodation is available, with numerous luxury hotels in the area like Los Monteros, the Park Plaza and Gran Hotel Benahavis and Guadalpin as well as self-catering apartments like Hotel PYR, Plaza Suite Appartments and the BENABOLA. What better place to enjoy a summer break, Flights are cheap and frequent into Malaga or Gibraltar with then only around 45 minutes taxi ride into Puerto Banus. There are also numerous car hire companies at both airports with very reasonable rates (a 3 day hire works out roughly the same as a one-way taxi to Puerto Banus).

We hope you can join us for another great summer!

PRESS

THE COSTA DEL Sol may not be the first place that springs to mind for a hip and happening clubbing weekend - Mallorca's party capital Magaluf is more commonly known as 'Shagaluf'. But in the harbour port of Puerto Banus, west of Marbella, southern Spain's answer to Saint Tropez, you can't fail to be wowed by the gargantuan, stellar yachts, equally extravagant limited edition sports cars and the gorgeous eye candy this sort of wealth attracts. Puerto Banus's La Mila de Oro (Golden Mile) rivals the French Riviera and discerning British promoter Sintillate, which hosts weekly nights in London at Trap, CC Club, Click and NYT, and Manchester's Sugar Lounge and Ampersand, have brought the urban bling befitting the marina town's reputation as a jet-setter's playground. Each Thursday (from May to September), Sintillate organise a wild beach party on the Plaza Beach Terrace, which looks out to the sea. Not that you get much chance to marvel at the view: dressed-to-impress twenty- and thirtysomethings are here to get down and it's impossible not to get caught up in the heady, hyperkinetic atmosphere, fired by upfront R'n'B, old favourites, hip hop and funk. At 1am (everthing's happens fashionably late in Puerto Banus), it's a short journey to the resplendent 1,500-capacity Dreamers, where the party continues until daylight (7am). On Fridays, Sintillate hosts Puerto Banus's most bijou nightspot, Pangea, a small venue with the action focused on a roof terrace split in two. Think bespoke souk bar (al fresco) where socialising and drinking is enjoyed at tables served by cute and attentive staff, and a raised dancefloor with a mesmerising moonlit view of the gently rippling Mediterranean. Pangea's vibe is suitably intimate, its 500-capacity feels more like 200, and it's a sleek, sophisticated evening, attracting tanned designer-clad people (celebrities in Puerto Banus over the last year include Mis-Teeq, Girls Aloud, So Solid's Harvey, Blue and Rachel Stevens) like bees to honey. As the drinks flow, it's not long before Pangea's aspirational and wadded clientele's cooler-than-thou fronts fade and the dancefloor shakes its collective booty to Kelis and Beyoncé, before more jiggy hip hop and R'n'B encourages the bumping, grinding and dirty dancing. (METRO - 'The costa of soul Party time in Puerto Banus', Rahul Verma October 20, 2004.)

Ibiza and St Tropez? So last year, darlings. If you want to stay ahead in the hedonist's game, then book your ticket to the new clubbing capitals, says Grae Hillary. * MARBELLA. Once it was the preserve of croc-faced British ex-cons and retired policemen who only ate egg and chips; over the past few years, however, the beautiful people have returned. The place to be is Puerto Banus, where Gucci and Prada stores can be found alongside classy restaurants, ritzy bars and megayachts owned by Saudi sheikhs. Trashy, but in a good way. THE CROWD - Absolutely minted. It's a heady mix of home-counties girls and boys on their first holiday away from mummy and daddy, wealthy expats treating the li'l lady to a night out, a colourful array of Essex girls and plenty of Middle Eastern oil barons. The idea is to flash your cash as conspicuously as possible. In fact, it's rumoured that a sheikh's daughter keeps her £40m holiday yacht here - she visits it at least once a year. THE LOOK - Is bling dead? Not here it ain't. Think Paris Hilton-style, Eurotrash, platinum-blonde chic in minuscule Moschino or Versace. THE SOUNDS - R&B: all the better for showing off your body to. THE PARTY FUEL - Magnums of champagne and vintage bottles of Courvoisier, drunk in your own alcove. The aim is to be private as publicly as possible. THE ITINERARY - Start at sunset with a warm-up drink and a bump'n'grind at the Plaza Beach Terrace, an outside bar with a beautiful view over the sea. The Terrace hosts Marbella's most popular night, the London-owned Sintillate. Then it's over to Pangaea, fashioned like a Moroccan porn movie, for even more bump'n'grind. THE RECOVERY - On the deck of someone's yacht, sipping lurid concoctions until sunrise, followed by a few hours' kip and the afternoon at the Ocean Club, in Puerto Banus, where huge white leather beds, a pool and a resident masseur make it all a lot easier. NEVER BE WITHOUT - Silicone enhancements and a sugar daddy/mummy. (SUNDAY TIMES STYLE - 'Party World', Grae Hillary January 16, 2005)
